Assessors approve tax exemptions

Lowell Assessors approve 24 exemptions in April session. The Board of Assessors held a 40-minute meeting April 2 to address exemption and abatement applications. Unanimous approval was granted to 24 tax exemptions across two programs: 13 fiscal year 2027 3ABC applications and 11 statutory exemptions under four classifications: Clause 17E (4), Clause 22 (3), Clause 22E (2), and Clause 41C (2).

Two motor vehicle excise tax abatement applications were also denied unanimously.
