Assessors board approves 21 applications in routine session

LOWELL — Board of Assessors approves 21 abatement and exemption applications in routine 20-minute session. Chief Assessor Ellen M. Brideau presided over approvals of 10 fiscal 2027 Class 3ABC applications and three statutory exemptions under Clauses 22, 22E, and 41C, along with eight fiscal 2026 real estate abatements.

The board denied 18 fiscal 2026 real estate abatement applications and one senior exemption. Motor vehicle excise tax abatements for the week ending February 27 were reviewed and approved.
