Board of Assessors approves two tax abatement applications

LOWELL — The Board of Assessors unanimously approved two FY27 3ABC property tax abatement applications on April 21. Deputy Chief Assessor Ryan E. Rondeau moved approval with Assessor Amy Lombardo providing the second in each action.

Motor vehicle excise tax abatements for April 13-17 were approved by administrative signature while the board unanimously denied five additional motor vehicle excise abatement applications. The board deferred FY25-FY26 proforma bills warrants and audited personal property warrants to its May 12 meeting.
