Board of Health approves tattoo apprentice license

Lowell Board of Health unanimously approves body art apprentice license for Maria Raja Astudillo. The March 4 meeting included Chair Jo-Ann Keegan and members Kathleen Cullen-Lutter, William Galvin, Erin Gendron, and Alison Keegan voting all in favor. Director Lisa Golden informed the board of two measles cases in Massachusetts and announced the health department now has adult vaccines available for uninsured residents.

The board discussed kratom regulation, with member Erin Gendron noting that 20 Massachusetts municipalities have already banned the product.
