LOWELL — Board of Parks approves dozens of spring-summer event permits. The Board of Parks unanimously approved more than 20 permits for community events and school activities across Lowell parks for spring and summer 2026. Chair John Linnehan and members Kah Ndi and Melissa Morales voted 3-0 on routine items.
Approved events included the City of Lowell Youth Commission Block Party at North Common on June 20, Friends of Tyler Park concerts and market events, multiple Lowell Public School activities, and community celebrations. The board declined approximately 10 requests, primarily from applicants who failed to attend, including Cricket Games, Softball Tournaments, and private celebrations, with additional requests rejected due to Shedd Park construction.
