Council on Aging Board approves April minutes, hears director update on June Heritage

Council on Aging Board · Meeting of June 8, 2026

Lowell Council on Aging Board unanimously approves April minutes. Director Kimberly Gagnon reported the June Heritage publication is on track with input due early in the month. Board members discussed a stalled legislative proposal that would add $200,000 to the Behavioral Health Outreach for Aging Population program, bringing total funding to $6,555,303; a state senator submitted amendment #475 to reach that total, and board members were asked to contact Massachusetts state senators to support it.

Senior Center walls and classrooms are being painted and will be finished by June 22, with an art show reception scheduled for Saturday, June 6.
