LOWELL — The Lowell Council on Aging Advisory Board unanimously approved its December 8 minutes and received updates on facility infrastructure and programming. Director Kimberly Gagnon reported that cameras are now operational with access via internet and tablet, though Chairperson Richard Demers identified gaps requiring coverage for the elevator and stairways. Board member Maxine Farkas detailed program funding efforts, noting the "On the Move" program as the center's most popular offering and a recent Women Working Wonders grant award of several thousand dollars.
Grant allocations for 2027 remain uncertain, and Program Director Aurora is reported to lack resources. The board discussed a proposed May BINGO event pending staff availability.
