Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of July 13, 2026

Lowell Zoning Board approves four variances at July 13 meeting. The board unanimously granted variances to James Tessier for a garage conversion at 16 Gibson Road, Patrick and Renee Welch for a residential addition at 25 Draper Street, and Salath Tek for a porch roof at 365 Princeton Boulevard, all in single-family zones. The most complex approval involved Johnny Arteaga's second curb cut for a centralized waste management area at 235 Ludlam Street, which drew opposition from abutter Sirohi Aditya over access and parking concerns; the board approved the variance unanimously with a condition requiring dumpster screening on three sides.

Michael Brown's application for a new home at 80 Seventh Avenue was continued to August 10 at the applicant's request.
