Library board revises bylaws, approves committee structure

LOWELL — Pollard Memorial Library Board of Trustees unanimously adopts revised bylaws and finalizes committee reorganization. The board approved modifications across multiple bylaw articles, including clarifications on trustee resignations and vacancy procedures, expanded language on associate trustee voting and quorum roles, and consolidation of the director's report into monthly and annual sections. The trustees established two standing committees: Governance and Policy, and Outreach and Advocacy.

Library Director Bridget Cooley reported expanding programming, continued engagement with the Lowell UNESCO City of Learning Task Force, and a second resignation from the literacy staff, with the revised position of Adult Community Services Librarian II to be advertised.
