Lowell License Commission unanimously approves nine event permits and five food or beverage licenses. The Commission approved the 36th season of the Lowell Summer Music Series, spanning 14 concerts from July 11 through September 13 at Boarding House Park with amplified entertainment and alcohol service; permits for the African Festival, Greek Festival, Vibha Kite Flying Festival, and Friends of Tyler Park summer events; and licenses for NexDine LLC, Masala Magic LLC (Taste of India), and On the Bun LLC outdoor alcohol service. The Commission scheduled public hearings for June 11 for Shri Swaminarayan Foods LLC (Simon's Convenience) and 72 Merrimack Entertainment LLC (Europa), and requested Lowell Police inspect the Europa premises for emergency staircase adequacy.
