Lowell Affordable Housing Trust approves $500,000 loan for veterans housing. The board unanimously backed a loan to the Bridge Club of Greater Lowell for acquisition and rehabilitation of 267 Pawtucket Street, creating 29 permanent affordable housing units with supportive services, at 2 percent interest over 30 years. CFO Conor Baldwin negotiated loan terms with the city law department and the applicant's attorney; monthly payments will flow into the trust fund.
The board also voted unanimously to amend November and December 2025 minutes for accurate attendance, and emphasized meeting the December 31, 2026 ARPA deadline for fund disbursement.
