LOWELL — Three Lowell Sustainability Council members volunteer to update the student competition guide. AnaCristina, Wiliana Aquino, and Mikaela Hondros-McCarthy agreed to revise the resource guide to include data centers and battery storage before the 2027 competition, which received 13 submissions. The council heard a presentation on the city's 10-year Open Space and Recreation Plan, covering 90 parks across 700 acres with 92 percent of residents within a 10-minute walk of a park; the 150,000 dollar plan addresses park equity disparities.
The Tree Committee Ordinance is scheduled for City Council consideration.
