Lowell Zoning Board approves garage variance with tree-planting conditions.
Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of June 8, 2026
Lowell Zoning Board votes 5-0 to approve a variance for Georgia McColough's new garage at 80 Mansur Street. The project, located in the Suburban Neighborhood Single Family zoning district, required setback relief under Section 5.1 and earned support from board members who called it an enhancement to the well-maintained historic property. The board conditioned approval on planting one shade tree on Wyman Street and one on Mansur Street.
In continued business, the board unanimously postponed a TLGLE, LLC petition to convert 123 University Ave into two ground-floor commercial units and twelve studio apartments to June 22.
