Lowell School Committee approves budget modification, rejects administrator contracts in tied votes. The Committee voted 6 to 1 to approve a $1,353,988.78 budget modification and approved FY26 grant awards from state sources. However, separate contract votes for Assistant Superintendent for School Leadership Wendy Crocker-Roberge, Assistant Superintendent for Academics and Instruction Oneida Fox Roye, and Assistant Superintendent for Student Support Services Alice Brown-Legrand each failed 3 to 3, with Mr.
Conway, Ms. Delrossi, and Mr. Lay opposing all three.
The Finance Subcommittee reported the city's school contribution is $12 million, with transportation expenses projected to increase 6 percent.
