Veterans Commission approves agenda items, plans veteran recognition efforts.

Lowell Veterans Commission approves outreach plans and event preparations. Chair Paul Paradise agreed to meet with city official Mellissa regarding the commission's website access and four upcoming ceremonies; Secretary Michael Peeples will gain Gmail account access to coordinate nominations and volunteer recruitment for the Veterans Recognition Program. Director Eric LaMarche reported the homeless veteran population in Lowell stands at four individuals and noted a Coats for Veterans donation reunited one veteran with his family; he is now employed and housed.

The commission will revisit social media strategy and outreach to schools, ROTC, and community organizations at its next meeting February 11.
