Veterans Commission approves prior minutes, plans Memorial Day at new park.

Lowell Veterans Commission approves six months of prior minutes and advances planning for three 2026 events. Chair Paul Paradise reported the Memorial Day ceremony will take place at the new Veterans Park on the weekend before the holiday, with the oldest and youngest Lowell veteran laying the wreath; Commission member Philias Gauthier will investigate the State Police Horse Mounted Honor Guard. Commission member Michael Peeples will contact muscle car owner groups regarding 4th of July Parade participation.

The Commission unanimously approved distribution of the final 20 winter coat packages to the Bridge Club of Greater Lowell and the Lowell VA Clinic, and authorized Sub Committee member Jean Peeples to lead the creation of a Veterans Commission Facebook page.
