Lowell Zoning Board approves two residential variances, tables student housing. Chairman Van Pech and the board unanimously approved variances for Kazanjian Enterprise, Inc to convert an eight-bay garage at 297 University Avenue into four townhouse units and for Dan Tenczar to add a ground-floor aging-in-place addition at 69 Baltimore Avenue, both conditioned on engineering and planning coordination. The board unanimously voted to continue a variance petition by TLGLE, LLC to convert 123 University Avenue into two commercial units and twelve studio apartments to June 8, citing unresolved parking concerns in a densely parked neighborhood that board members said cannot absorb additional student vehicles without private parking agreements.
